Another successful day for our robotics program. Team 5585D brought home three more trophies: Teamwork Champions, 2nd Place Skills and the Create Award.

GCHS Volleyball players walked yesterday with Bobcats for National Walk to School Day. Good Luck Lady Buffs at their upcoming game against DCHS!

As much as we would like to have students back in school, we do not feel that can be done safely due to forecasted extreme windchill temperatures. There will be NO SCHOOL on Tuesday, January 16th for Garden City Public Schools.

Santa isn’t ready to go back to school yet! Due to expected inclement weather conditions, all Garden City Public Schools facilities will be closed to the public on Monday, January 8th.
The Board of Education meeting will proceed as normal at 6pm and will be open to the public.
Staff members are not required to report to work, unless specifically instructed by their supervisor.

Many first responders and older students came out to help with the Jennie Wilson and Jennie Barker NFL Play 60 events this afternoon.
Fuel Up to Play 60 is an in-school nutrition and physical activity program launched by the NFL and National Dairy Council, in collaboration with the USDA. The program is designed to engage and empower youth to take action for their own health by implementing long-term, positive changes for themselves and their schools.

Jennie Barker Elementary students enjoyed a morning of exploring and experiencing trucks and farm equipment up close on Friday. The KSU Extension Office was also at the school talking to students about farming and agribusiness and how it impacts our community.




There will be no school on Monday, September 25 for a teacher inservice day.

The GCHS football players were at Jennie Barker Elementary School this morning greeting students and giving high fives. The team plays at Hays this Friday.
