Another successful day for our robotics program. Team 5585D brought home three more trophies: Teamwork Champions, 2nd Place Skills and the Create Award.

Congratulations to the 2025 JB Spelling Bee Winners! They will represent Jennie Barker in the 2025 Finney County Spelling Bee at Clifford Hope Auditorium at Horace Good Middle School on February 8th, 2025 at 9:00am. 1st - Adriel Z. 2nd - Levi 3rd - Aislin Alternate - Jasper

The calendar committee for Garden City Public Schools is seeking input from parents regarding calendar options for the 2026-2027 school year. Jennie Barker's Annual Family Engagement Night was a blast!

Shout out to our first responders that joined our Bobcats at the Heroes Breakfast! Breakfast provided by IHOP in Garden City and Scooter's Coffee in Garden City and Jennie Barker PTO.

October PTC Times: Tuesday, October 22 - 4:10 p.m. to 7:10 p.m. Thursday, October 24 - 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.

GCHS Volleyball players walked yesterday with Bobcats for National Walk to School Day. Good Luck Lady Buffs at their upcoming game against DCHS!

The end of this school year is right around the corner and we have amazing staff making a difference every day. Check out this staff spotlight featuring Abigail Chairez!

As much as we would like to have students back in school, we do not feel that can be done safely due to forecasted extreme windchill temperatures. There will be NO SCHOOL on Tuesday, January 16th for Garden City Public Schools. Stay warm!

Santa isn’t ready to go back to school yet! Due to expected inclement weather conditions, all Garden City Public Schools facilities will be closed to the public on Monday, January 8th.  The Board of Education meeting will proceed as normal at 6pm and will be open to the public. Staff members are not required to report to work, unless specifically instructed by their supervisor.  Please stay tuned to USD 457 social media for the most current updates.  Stay safe and warm!
