We have received information that at-home COVID tests can now be found at local retail stores. Currently, these tests are not approved by the Finney County Health Department and are not able to be used as verification of a COVID test result.  If you have questions about which test might be best for you or your family, don’t hesitate to contact the Health Services Department or your school nurse.

April Challenge!

Dear Jennie Barker Family,

As we begin a new challenge for the month of April, don’t forget to keep drinking plenty of water (March Challenge)! Students can STILL bring in their water challenge chart, even if March is over! Students will receive a bracelet and charm for their participation in the water challenge!

This month we are going to be keeping track of our MOOD! School and life can be stressful. Mood trackers can be an effective tool for better understanding ourselves and our emotions. A mood tracker can give students greater insight on their own readiness to learn, too! By better understanding our emotions, we can become more capable of controlling our actions and utilize wellness and social-emotional regulation strategies. When we notice trends in our moods, we become more empowered to consider what might be causing stress, anger, upset, exhaustion, and happiness.

For the month of April, and every month after, encourage your child to be thoughtful, reflective, and honest. This tracker is private, just between them and their grown-ups. This challenge is meant to be a daily tool to develop lifelong wellness habits!

Students will return the Mood Tracker at the end of the month and receive a charm for their participation!
